Taking A New Path?

It is so easy to become complacent when it comes to going for our goals. We become set in our ways, comfortable and relatively content and often opt to go for good instead of great. Why?

For some it is timing, lack of funds or perhaps not enough drive, but it is never too late to choose to start down a new path. So, why not this year? It’s even a new decade after all.

Stop, take a moment and think; am I on the right path? There is nothing wrong with saying yes and continuing on, but there is also nothing wrong with saying no. The question is, are you willing to move onto a new one? Not everything can change overnight and often it will begin on a whim, but if you don’t take that first step onto your new path, nothing can begin at all.

But how? Where do you start? If you feel like you’re on the wrong path and need to find a new way, why not try some of these tips.

Give it your attention

You won’t necessarily be able to jump into something new straight away due to other commitments, and responsibilities, however, you can plan and go through a transition of change. Take opportunities as they come along and you may be surprised to discover that they led you on to a new path.

Your Gut

We all have instincts and intuition and that little voice inside our head, which mostly leads us in the right direction. However, If that inner voice keeps creeping in, telling you that you are not happy and that you need a change, then chances are it’s right, and your subconscious is telling you what you are having trouble admitting… that you need to move on.

Start Small

You may know what you want to do but not how to start doing it. Or perhaps you may have no idea what it is you want to do but you just know you need to be doing something different. Start small. Do something. Do anything. Take a night class, go to a lecture, take a short course (perhaps one to become a natural healer), have a look around at all the paths leading off of yours. You never know where these may lead you to and there is the chance that one will lead you to your new road.

Belief

At the end of the day, the most important thing is belief. Belief in yourself and trust that inner voice to agree on what it is that you truly want. Finding someone else and confiding in them and having their belief in your chosen path is important, but not as much as having belief in yourself. The first step has to be yours.

“Believe in yourself, go after your dreams, and don’t let anyone put you in a box” Daya.
